EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN COURSE

A New York State certified Emergency Medical Technician Course will be held at Primary Care Ambulance SI, NY starting Thursday, August 27, 2020 and ending with the NYS State Examination for certification as an EMT on Thursday, January 21, 2021.

The program will meet every Tuesday, and Thursday evening from 7:00 to 10:30, PM and one Wednesday evening. Course dates are detailed on back of this application.

This program is the revised NYS Department of Health EMT curriculum, which includes lecture and practical skill sessions, 2016 CPR/AED guidelines, Haz Mat & Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) training. In addition to classroom time, all students are required to spend 16 hours of clinical observation on an Ambulance. This will be arranged by the training center. This program meets and exceeds the NYC Fire Department requirement for CFR certification for the Civil Service position of Firefighter.

GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION

PREREQUISITES: Applicants must be SEVENTEEN years old by January 30, 2021

Have a High School diploma or equivalency, able to read & write in English

LOCATION: Primary Care Ambulance, 2699 Richmond Terr. 2nd floor, Staten Island, N.Y. 10303

TUITION: $1,200.00 that will be paid as follows: $600.00 upon submission of this application (this includes non-refundable $25.00 registration fee) and the $600.00 balance is due on or before August 23, 2020.

Tuition must be paid, by money order or certified check. Personal checks will not be accepted. The tuition includes all necessary textbooks, JB learning Web site access, EMT equipment (Blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, Pocket Mask) and study materials.
