The Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (REMAC) of New York City Basic Life Support Prehospital Treatment Protocols reflects the changing field of out-of-hospital emergency medicine and the continuous attempts of the emergency medical and trauma communities in all provider sectors (municipal, voluntary hospital, proprietary, and volunteer), acting in concert, to provide high-quality, state-of-the-art, out-of-hospital emergency medical care to urgently ill and injured adults and children in the New York City region.
